ROC appoints Markus Bucher to the board of directors

ROC, a leading SAP HCM specialist consultancy, announced that Markus Bucher has joined its board of directors, adding to its existing strength of SAP HR experts from across the globe.  Markus’ appointment plays a critical role in ROC's ambitious, long-term development strategy.

Markus is the founder and managing director of SWICON, a member of the ROC Group and has over 30 years of international management experience in multi-national groups all over the world, concentrating on major re-engineering, restructurings and change management. 

His responsibilities to the board will include running the African and Middle Eastern  divisions, defining and implementing ROC’s  Asia Pacific Strategy.  Markus will also be key in developing ROC’s Payroll Support Solutions and rolling these out across  ROC’s global operations.

Formerly President of the Swiss Business Council in South Africa, Markus started his career with nine years at Bally Worldwide, becoming Chief Financial Officer (United States).  He then moved to Holcim (formerly Holderbank) as Executive Director and Chairman of their holding, management and consulting arm.  In 2000, Marcus founded SWICON South Africa (Pty) Ltd and remains as their Chairman and Group Managing Director.
